Trying to Get in Touch with My Irish Roots

I have reddish-brown hair and green eyes. I am fair as a ghost and my first name is spelled the Irish way: Kathryn. I thought it might be fun to start dabbling into my own history, starting with listening to Irish folk and then hopefully ending with a look back at my family tree. I thought it would be an interesting project for me to learn where I came from during the pandemic/quarantine. I am, however, more Polish than I am Irish, so I will be looking back at my Polish heritage as well.

I’m starting off with a bit of Jack Septiceye deciphering some Irish slang and making fun of bad Irish accents.

(If you’re wondering if all Irish people are as loud as Sean, the answer is yes, for the most part.)
